Sierra Tradesman is expanding to include a small-batch plant nursery focused on species suited to the Central Sierra climate and ecology. We’re selecting plants that work hard, support local ecosystems, and contribute to resilient, productive landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What We’re Growing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Native Plants<\/strong>\u00a0California natives adapted to local conditions \u2014 drought-tolerant, wildlife-supporting, and built for the foothill environment. Includes oaks, conifers, shrubs, and understory species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grafted Fruit Trees<\/strong> Apples, pears, plums, apricots, figs, and cherries \u2014 carefully selected varieties for the Sierra climate zone. Grafted for disease resistance, flavor, and reliable production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perennial Grasses & Groundcovers<\/strong>\u00a0Functional grasses for grazing, erosion control, soil health, and habitat. Ornamental options available for landscaping applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berries<\/strong> Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and gooseberries \u2014 varieties chosen for local adaptation and sustained yield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ornamental Landscaping Plants<\/strong> Drought-tolerant shrubs, flowering perennials, and structural plants suited to rural and residential design projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
